sand. i hate sand. truly, i mean, what purpose does it
serve? other than seep itself into every hole and crevice,
every little crack.
doesn't matter if you know its there, if you "feel" it or
not. you can always tell though, when its gone...
some people say they like sand, they relish in its corrosive
embrace, roll and lie in it, frolic in its blinding pit of a
gut. i used to also. but the sand doesnt love back now, does
it? no. sand is traitorous. sinkholes and mud, desert storms
and quicksand. ah quicksand. my perfect example. the more
you struggle the faster you sink, the bigger you are the
deeper you'll drown.
not worth fighting? well, its not quite as simple as that
you see, one must remember always that
Patiance, is a virtue
and
Determination, is key
that's the problem with sand. with understanding sand. its
not like me, it never settles. not like rocks, nice solid
heavy rocks. sand is wind swept, flies about on every gust
or gale.
awfull stuff, sand. tricky and trairorous, scratching and
scathing, drowning and blinding. ever tried to follow a
single grain of sand in a storm? damn near impossible.
i hate the sand. but since i lost it, i yern for its warm,
strangling hug, for the feeling of nestling within a dune.
following a single grain,
patiance
