Spring.
Born again into the light
The eastern sun now shining bright
The dawn returning into sight
And daytime raptors taking flight
The turning wheel that's moving on
Across the earth new life will dawn
A single mare gives birth to a fawn
Life once again beginning to spawn
Insects dancing in the morning air
Hibernating creatures coming out of their lair
The sun returns in heed of our prayer
To bring new life to a land so fair
The sun will shine and rain will fall
The grass grows thick and wide and tall
Lupine cubs in a playful brawl
And a rainbow arching above us all
Sweet, cool water in a mountain stream
Upon colorful flora the sun shall beam
A natural lake as Heaven must seem
The world awakes to the Paradise Dream
Morning in Eden, the songbirds sing
A new beginning, what gifts it may bring
The light of the sun, such a glorious thing
All the creatures living, joyful for the spring
Summer.
Fire burning rock and sand
Overhead the sun shall stand
The rays of the sun, scorching the land
The barren deserts will slowly expand
The blazing sun, the fire in our sky
Life in the pan beginning to fry
The mighty sun draining us dry
Though living is hard the living still try
Mountain snow that melts away
Quenching the thirst of a summer day
The cubs of the wolf no longer play
But learn with their parents to hunt down prey
Daytime offers heavy heat
But after day and night will meet
The warmth is pleasant, the air is sweet
One journey more the sun will complete
Caught in the burning sun at noon
In the scorching month of June
Warmth of the nights and the aura of the moon
Showing no sign of it being over soon
Reflected heat and Silver Light
The wolves have grown to hunt and fight
All the creatures in their passionate delight
Dancing and mating in the pleasant summer night
Autumn.
Sadness sitting lonely and still
Soft winds flowing through each valley and each hill
The sorrow of the Heavens growing sadder until
The teardrops rain down - and soon enough they will
Naked trees rocking gentle and slow
Under the moon the winds ebb and flow
This is the season to reap what you sow
After the dusk - a soft reddish glow
The days are cooling more and more
The night is crawling on the earth's dry shore
The nights become much colder than before
Zephyr winds giving taste of what's in store
The pack must catch the food they need
For in the winter they may not feed
The pregnant wolf that soon shall breed
New wolves for the pack, their living seed
Upon the earth the silence prevailing
Except for the winds, constantly wailing
The gusts 'round the trees, spinning, flailing
The leaves on the breeze, falling, sailing
The shade of the leaves, brown, orange, red
The sun is now gone, the night came instead
All the trees lonely, their leaves have been shed
The colorful world looking more and more dead
Winter.
And at the end of every year
The frost and snow will always appear
All the beings now drawing near
The endless slumber, the eternal fear
The winds are crying, the heaven weeps
Over the mountains where soft snow heaps
A blanket of clouds now thoroughly sweeps
The darkened world that soundly sleeps
An endless plain, covered in snow
The glaciers motion so very slow
The sky is clear and dry winds blow
Creatures crossing where no life can grow
All alone, only snow around
A single wolf on the frozen ground
Howling at the skies, the only sound
Echoing back from other wolves found
As the night drops over the whole of creation
Death in the cold, such a dark desperation
Just as we feel there will be no salvation
A new hope is found in reincarnation
Tiny creatures, fountain of delight
Though wolves are born bereft of sight
The wheel turns, and at the edge of night
Born again into the light |
