Sleeping used to be fun
---------------------------
There are times I can clearly remember sleeping used to be
fun
We'd park near the moonlight
And wake next to the sun
Back in those days worries never crossed our minds
Our biggest dilema was ice cream
As in how many kinds
But as the years went by our volcano errupted
We got permenantly awake
With our dreams disrupted
We found out that dreaming only leads to expectations
We're better off with nightmares
At least they have some reflections
I don't deny there are times all I want is a pillow
Just to end an owful day
With my eyes shut and feeling mellow
Only once I get home, I discover my bed is already attended
With mr. and mrs. unhappy thoughts
Reminding me how sleep is so very overated
And now sleeping is nothing but a memory, fading away
between fearfull clouds
As time passes, my soul starts to day dream
Failing to dug up some visions from my inner lost and founds
But sometimes I can still recall how sleeping used to be
fun
Missing the way we parked near the moonlight
And Felt so pure as we woke next to the sun |
