Every tear she had ever shed.
All for the dream.
And then she got there.
And it was exactly as she dreamed.
She ran, as far as she could run.

In the land of spring,
The smile found her.
And it was just her and the smile.
In the land of summer,
She found the laugh.
And they became three.
In the land of fall,
She found love.
And the smile and laugh were as useful as ever.
In the land of winter,
It was only her again. Alone.
A terrible obligation broke her.
The gates of the dream locked in front of her.
She could only see the smile.
She could only hear the laugh.
She could only smell the love.

She went back. Away from home.
She made herself forget about the dream,
Only remembered the winter.
And when the gate finally opened
To let her in,
She wasn't there.
