Your smell lingered softly on my skin
An existing reminder
Of the things I'm trying to avoid from
And I'm walking, oblivious to it all

But then again, a brief wind blow
Will hustle hidden memories upon my ear
With this smell again sneaking beneath my nose

But what does this all mean,
If it means anything at all
Does your skin sealed with my smell too?
Did it silently come across your nose,
Not asking if it was the right time, or not?

If only this smell would have defined
Not only hidden memories
Not only fears, and a million of doubts
If only this smell could define
Something real, with a name I could pronounce
Not afraid to shout it out loud
Maybe then, I'd be able to smell it, safely
And even ask for some more of it
For my skin to absorb it, harmonically
Fearless, doubtless.
