Night comes upon us.
to end another day,
to separate us into little capsules where we are true,
to ask the questions we try desperately to ignore.

the night is forced upon us.
to rest the day,
to bring us together
for together we are best,
and to explain the light within the darkness
which it brings.

the day begins again.
in the light of day
the empty spaces between us are clearer,
in the light of day
we think we see,
and when we see we think we know,
and communication loses value,
the light of day does not accept us.

the day rises like the phoenix,
from the ashes of the night.
in the light of day
our love is clearer,
in the light of day
our intelligence is brighter,
the light  of day shows us
for who we truly are.

we are vines that grow
ceaselessly, not knowing why,
some of us bloom
while others wither away.
and axiomatically, we grow,
the same as anything in nature,
that grows.

we are fish in the ocean of life and consciousness,
though we try, pretentiously,
to convince  ourselves we are sailors that sail upon it,
separate from it,
we are actually,
a part of it,
and axiomatically, we live,
the same as everything in nature,
that lives.
