shades of gray
a little too pale
then there was a house
and with that came a trail
then clouds, grass
with sun on top
a few flowers
and a few rain drops

shades of gray
it fits ok
no need for a house
if there are no people there
a large moon, some stars
on the back nothing but dark
a few rain drops with no clouds
and a little spark

that's all i know to paint
it goes very hard on every way
not a living creature
just a still picture
that's all i know to paint

i didn't earn enough skills
i don't have all the colours
to draw me a dream world
that i can call ours
i don't know a different way
than using shades of gray
to fill the lines of the inanimate
cause that's all i know to paint
