What's going on around him
He cannot comprehend
The things she said about him
That he is vain and immature
And lacks any social skills
That he is lame and insecure
And doesn't know what he feels
But all he ever does is stand there

With a smug face and glazed looking eyes

He isn't very friendly
Her friends think he's a freak
They said to let him down gently
So he won't think it's a trick
They said he wasn't right for her
She needed someone better
They said he doesn't really care
For the things he wrote in his letters
He doesn't know what to say
So he just stands there and smiles

And he's always too shy
But other than that I think
He's one hell of a guy

And of all the shallow people

The smug face is just a disguise
