Envision an age of reason, when you sit on a comfortable
chair
And then you realize wisdom -
You smell the fresh perfumed air, and let the chair swing
back and forth.
Grown, the simple word with the rigid sound, like an old
machine broken down.
And then you think -
Of old things, and take a look at old photographs, almost
faded, almost black and white, you try to remember some of
the people's names.
And then it strikes you -
You're 19, not 70.   but.. 19 is almost 20, and 20 is half
of 40.
40 yearold people are young, active, enjoying life.
Are you?

You don't think you did much, just hung around with the
regular bunch, sitting on the banch, sneaking to the old
man's ranch, you're like a bird from an egg just hatched.
Or are you like a chicken?
Indeed, you nod - you never got really drunk, and almost
never went on a pub late at night, not a real hit with the
ladies, and would sit at home waiting.
And then it hits you -
You're getting old.
