זה סתם סיפור שכתבתי לשיעור אנגלית בבית ספר אבל אתם בטח לא
יודעים אנגלית טוב כמוני אז לא תצליחו לקרוא את זה, תדלים
שכמותכם
"Come back here you little..." The fat, old man did not
finish his sentence. He couldn't. An arrow, as dark as the
sky above, had pierced his head. The little boy who was
trying to steal the old man's bread had no better luck. An
arrow had hit him in the throat. Hundreds of people had
suffered the same fate, that night.
The city of Mitasor was under attack.
The city survived the attack. The last corpse was buried at
noon, the day after.
"He was a good man," the mayor said. "Everyone loved him, he
was our best general. We all owe him our lives. He was
successful in defeating Rasak's forces. But at what cost? He
had sacrificed his life for us." The mayor stopped. The
people who stood around John Mako's grave were silent.
Quietly, each one of them put a white flower on the grave
and went home. When everyone was gone, the mayor walked to
the grave, said some words to his dead friend, and was about
to go to his office when he saw a figure standing on a
nearby hill. The person seemed to be looking for something -
or someone, the mayor thought bitterly. Then the person
started to run toward the mayor. As he came closer he was
becoming more and more familiar. It was one of his favorite
guards.
"Mr. Darf....I have a note....for you." The exhausted guard
said, and handed the mayor a crumpled piece of paper. "I
found it at General Mako's son house....The house was
empty." The mayor read the note aloud. "For everyone who is
interested. I, Dolran Mako, John Mako's son, went with my
two best friends to a little trip. We are going to find
General Rasak and kill him. I am going to avenge my father's
death and no one can stop me. Then, when I'll come back,
I'll lead our army just like my father once did. With our
army I will chase and kill every evil being on this planet.
See you when I come back!"
"What are we going to do, mayor?"
"Nothing"
"Nothing? I don't understand."
"Dolran wants revenge. As he said no one can stop him...well
at least not us. He is a good man, has good friends, he
reminds me of his father. Now, I have business to attend,
things to do." The mayor said, and went to his duties.

"Wait up, Dolran!" Called Ladina. "Slow down!" Added
Pidento. Ladina and Pidento were Dolran's best friends, they
both knew him since they were very young. In all those years
they have never seen him so excited and enthusiastic about
anything. Ladina and Pidento were both shorter than him,
their black eyes were darker than his green ones, and their
hair was much darker than his. They were twins.
Dolran stopped, and then called "Can't you walk a little
faster? We have an army to find, a general to slay."
When they reached him Pidento said, "are you sure you don't
want to go back? I mean, you can't defeat a whole army by
yourself. You'll get killed. We'll get killed."
"I did not ask you to come, Pid. You wanted to come with me.
And besides, I'm not going to fight the whole army, I'm not
that crazy. I just want Rasak, I want him to pay."
"And what are we going to do after you kill him? If we don't
die, that is." Linda asked.
"We will return home" He simply said.
They continued to walk until dusk came. They made a camp at
the side of the road, had dinner, talked, laughed, and went
to sleep.
In the middle of the night Dolran woke up. It was dark and
cold, but it did not stop him from sweating. He had a bad
dream. A really bad dream. He dreamed about his father, John
Mako. He was in his armor, sword in hand and ready to lead
his army to another victory against Rasak's army. Suddenly,
his father vanished, everything was black. Then he could see
a head, the head of General Rasak, his wicked smile on his
black lips. Rasak laughed as a corpse had materialized under
his head. The corpse was filled with arrows and spears,
blood everywhere. Dolran knew that it was his father even
before he saw the corpse's face. It was then when he woke
up. His twin friends were still sleeping. He fell asleep
again in an hour.
A week passed, everyday was the same as the one before. The
same conversations, same jokes, the same dusty road, but
worst of all, the same dream. The dream just served to
increase Dolran's need of revenge. He knew it will stop when
Rasak is finally dead, his blood on Dolran's sword.
This day, a week since the start of their journey, they had
found the army. An army of thousands of knights, each
wearing a black armor and holding a shield in their left
hand and a sword in their right. Dolran easily spotted Rasak
riding a horse and leading his forces toward its next place
they would conquer. It took both Ladina and Pid to stop him
from running into the army.
"We need a plan."  Ladina said.
"And I have one." Dolran replied
"You do?" She asked.
"Yes, I do. Can you see the village over there?" He pointed
to a low hill in front of them.
"Yea" she said.
"I bet Rasak is going to raid it. We are going to run to
this village, as fast as we can. We have to get there before
Rasak does. We will wait for him in front of the village.
When he sees us, I will invite him for a dual. Just him and
me. One on one. He will accept my invitation, I know it. If
he doesn't his whole army will think their general is a
coward. When I kill him, we would have to run away from the
army, hide somewhere, and then eventually, come back home.
Pretty simple huh?"
"You have a lot of self-confidence, don't you Dolran? What
if he kills you? What if you lose?" She sounded worry.
"I won't lose this dual" He said.
They reached the village by evening. They spent most of the
day running in silent in the woods at the side of the road.
The knights were approaching slowly, it would take them two
days, Pid predicted when they arrived.
Those two days passed very fast. Dolran was practicing with
his sword whenever he could.
I am ready, He thought, when he could finally saw Rasak. Pid
and Ladina were hiding in the bushes behind him. He stepped
forward, he stood directly in front of the person he so
hated, the person who was haunting him in his dreams, the
person who killed his father.
The general looked at him. "Get out of the way." He said in
his creepy, soft voice. Dolran did not move.
"You killed my father." He said.
"I killed many fathers." Rasak said indifferently "Now move
out of my way, or suffer the same fate as your pathetic
father."
No one calls my father pathetic. Dolran told to himself. "My
father was John Mako. Mitasor's General, and you murdered
him. I challenge you to a dual."
Rasak looked surprised for a moment, then jumped from his
horse and said "You are a brave man, Mako. And I accept your
challenge." He drew his sword. Dolran drew his own sword.
The knights behind them started shouting Rasak's name.
This is the moment I have been waiting for. Dolran thought.
Then, he thrust forward with his sword, as hard as he could.
The sword bounced off the armor uselessly.
Rasak laughed, kicked Dolran in the chest, knocking him down
and laughed again. Dolran struggled to his feet, and started
slashing in the air in all directions, forgetting everything
his father taught him about fighting with a sword,
remembering just that he had to kill Rasak. The general
parried every single attack, not even a scratch on his shiny
black armor. When Dolran stopped slashing at him for a
moment to take air, he kicked at him again, this time in the
head. Dolran tried to get up, but he couldn't. He felt
angry, weak, but most of all humiliated. Rasak pointed his
sword at Dolran and brought it up and then down to hit the
unarmored man, but he did not hit him. He hit Pid instead,
who jumped before Rasak's sword to protect his friend. The
sword hit him in the forehead. He fell dead on top of
Dolran, protecting him even in his death. Pid's blood flawed
on the road and had the knights were not cheering so loud,
they could have heard Ladina weeping over her dead twin
brother. She wept but did not move, not wanting the knights
to notice her.
The army started walking toward the village again. Stepping
on Pid's lifeless body and on Dolran in the process.
Several hours later everything was quiet. Ladina was
sleeping. Dolran was sitting next to his dead friend and
thinking. Thinking about his failure, about how angry he
was, about his growing and growing desire to kill Rasak. No.
I don't want to kill him, He thought. I want to torture him
until I would get bored of him and only then would I kill
him. The thought was pleasant. And that was the last thought
he had before he fell asleep.
The next day passed without a word between Ladina and
Dolran, they both knew where they are heading to. They did
not stop for lunch, they did not eat anything. They walked
fast, knowing the army they were chasing couldn't be too far
away.
They reached the army at night, then hid in the woods and
slept until early in the next morning. They both had
nightmares and did not sleep well, but they did not speak
about that. They had more important things to talk about,
how to kill Rasak.
They decided to follow the army until they set a camp at
night, then when the general will go to his bad, they will
catch him without his armor on and kill him.
They walked silently after the Rasak's forces. At about noon
they suddenly stopped. "I heard something." Dolran said. "In
the bushes." Ladina carefully walked to the bush Dolran had
pointed on, and gasped in surprise. "It is a little girl."
She said. "She is alone."
"Good. Nothing to worry about. Let's go."
"We can't just leave her here. What are you doing alone in
these woods, little girl?"
"I ran away from the village" the girl said, sadness in her
voice. "Everyone is dead, please help me. Bring Mommy. I
want Mommy." At that point the girl started to cry.
"Shut up, girl! You will bring the entire army on us!"
Dolran said. "We cannot help you; we have more important
things to do. Come on Ladina, we have wasted too much time
on this little girl."
"We cannot leave the poor girl alone." She repeated. "You
have changed, Dolran Mako. The Dolran I knew was always
cheerful and happy to help everyone who needed him. What do
you want to do, leave her to the wolves?"
"No, if the wolves would find her, they would smell us soon
after they are done with her and we won't have better luck
than her." As he talked he drew his sword and then without
another word he stabbed the little girl.
"No!!!!!" Ladina cried "How could you?"
"She would have died anyways" He replied
"But we..."
"Come on," he said, "let's go, it's almost night, we have a
general to kill today."
"But you..."
"I'm not proud of what I did, but she would have ruined our
plans, wasted a lot of time, and brought a pack of wolves on
us. The only thing that is important to me right now is to
avenge my father's and your brother's death. Now let's go"
She did not answer, just followed him.
When they reached the army's camp, it was dark. Everyone was
sleeping. They sneaked up to the biggest tent, which they
were pretty sure was Rasak's.
"Remember what to do?" He asked her.
"Yes, I will stay outside the tent and warn you if someone
comes"
"Good, I am going in."
Dolran entered the tent. They were right; Rasak was sleeping
on a large bed. Dolran pointed the sword at him. I can just
cut off his head, he thought. But he didn't. He poked the
general eyes with the tip of his sword, blinding him. Rasak
woke up with a scream of pain, and then Dolran cut off his
right arm, then his left leg. Rasak looked into Dolran's
eyes, though he could not see him, and whispered "Mako...."
and died. I did it! Rasak is dead, now I can come back to
Mitasor and... A new thought passed in his mind. Then two
guards entered the tent, holding Ladina.
"We heard..." The guard stopped, saw the body on the bed and
then said "You killed the general!"
"Yes I did" Dolran said "And from now on I am your general.
That is your tradition isn't it? You kill the general, you
become the new general."
"Yes but..."
"Well, my first command is to kill this woman."
"What? You can't be serious!" Ladina cried. "I thought..."
But then the guard's sword had pierced through her heart and
she instantly died.
"Good Job" Dolran said. "Our next destination is a city I
wanted to control for a long time.......Mitasor."
