Hi Dana!  What's going on? I had a great time at the
Millennium parties! A really good time! Let me tell you what
happened...

(The party at the Reston Community Center)
OK, so Jed and I decided to meet at the doors. After we saw
each other we went inside to get the tickets, but there was
a guard with a metal detector and we had to do that first
(Weirdoes...), then, we bought our tickets. The guy that
took the tickets from us gave me a 'millennium crown' and to
Jed he gave a 'millennium top hat'. Then, we went in. I'm
telling you, the hall was full (!), but the dance floor was
sweep clean!!! Really! None was over there! It was like a
desert! That is probably every DJ's worst nightmare... Not
having anyone dance....  Hehehehe..... Anyway, we went to
one of the tables, and started talking. We met many of our
friends there, Becca, Alex, Michelle, Mike.... We said hi to
all of them, but I guess they were pretty snobby that day
and they didn't say hi back. Jed made fun of them and made
me laugh so
hard! Some teens started staring... I tried really hard to
stop, and only giggled. We went to a part of the hall where
it is like really big stairs (carpet) and where you can see
the indoor pool and continued talking over there where they
are no people to stare at us. We looked at the pool area and
we saw some old, fat, male swimmers with only a speedo on
and we laughed at them and Jed started making funny faces
and stuff like that. Then we realized it was almost ten (at
ten mom was suppose to pick me up) so I called dad and asked
him to pick me up at 11:30 instead and he said OK. So after
that we wanted to eat some ice cream. So we left the dance
and went to the dairy queen which was close by, but it was
closed so we didn't know what to do so I had an idea of
going to 'Food Lion'  which was close by and buy ice cream
there (Food Lion is a grocery store). When we got there the
automatic doors didn't open to get inside but it opened only
if you wanna go out of the store (probably because the store
wanted to close), but we didn't go back because we wanted
ice cream so we waited for a lady to come out and then
Before the door close we snuck in. So we went to the frozen
section. Since the smallest pack was four popsicles so we
decided on that and went to pay for it. Jed said he wants to
pay for the ice cream because he needs to get rid of his
money he brought (but I think it's because he is sweet), and
so he did. Then when we wanted to go back to the dance the
guards said that once you go out, you can't come back in. So
we waited it the lobby and started eating the popsicles
there. Since we were only 2 people, we ate only 2 popsicles,
and there was 2 popsicles left (4-2=2). Jed said that we
should give it to the guards and in return they will let us
go in, I
Laughed at that and when Jed said that he think that it will
work I even laughed harder, I said in a joke "OK, try it".
To my surprise Jed said OK and went to the guards with the 2
popsicles. The guards turned him down though and said with a
smile that they don't like the chocolate kind (yeah,
right!). He came back and I laughed at the whole thing.
Then, a 7th grader came to the lobby, and Jed offered him an
ARTIK. The guy said OK and took it. Before he opened the
wrapper, I told him: "Be careful, there might be a worm in
there..." and giggled. Then, Jed said to him: "Don't listen
to her, there is no worm in there, it's only poisoned..."
and made me laugh
Really hard. The guy continued playing the 'game' with us
and said: "That's fine with me". Then, he went to the pay
phone and called someone. Jed and I continued talking when
the guy came back and sat next to me. He said something to
get into the conversation with us, I forgot what it was.
Anyway, the three of us talked, and there was a time when
none had anything to say. Then I started to remember the
old, fat, swimmers we saw in the pool and started giggling.
Since they didn't know why I started giggling, they looked
at me like I was crazy and then they made the expression
like: "I don't know that girl..." or something like that,
which made me laugh. Then, Jed said: "Oh well, it's probably
because of the sugar..." (You know that sugar make people
hyper). I guess I was pretty hyper. After a while the guy
(which his name is Chris, he introduced himself) got hyper
too and started singing and being really weird. When he was
REALLY hyper, he took us in his hands (ewww...), and took us
inside. It was kinda of a surprise for me, probably to Jed
too, I mean, the guards didn't try to stop us. That was
weird, very weird.  Anyway, we went to the pool area again,
with Chris following us. We started talking with Chris
Interrupting us... What I'm saying is that Chris became a
pain in the butt! Anyway, we tried to run away from him,
which became a little game for us. When we lost him (or to
be more exactly, he lost us), we went to the pool area again
and talked. Then, one of my friends, Michelle, and said
My dad was waiting for me. Just then I realized that it was
11:35 already, so we went outside where dad (and Jed's sis)
was waiting for us. Then, we went home.  

On the party at Alison's house, there were maybe 50 people
(including kids). We had to baby-sit all the little kids
(about 30 of them) and that was a really big pain in the
butt, 'cuz
Most of them were 6th graders and they thought they were
smart and all. So once, Alison's dad came (I don't know why
but every kid is afraid of him) and said to everyone that if
they
Won't listen to us: Alison, Chelsey (one of Alison's
friends), and me; they would have to mess with him. So once
one of the rudest guy's troughs a plate on us (the kind that
you recycle after).  So Chelsey got REALLY mad and told him
to pick it up. The dude said: "Why should I?!?!?!" and then
Chelsey something that I just LOVED... She said: "Because I
have the power, and you don't!" and he got really embraced
and picked the plate up, and through it into the trash can.
When it was almost midnight, we went outside where the
grownups lighted on fireworks. Then, everyone left except
Chelsey and I (we slept over).

At Sat. Evening I went on a date with Jed (he is shy, but
REALLY sweet). We went ice skating, and then we went to see
a movie, Galaxy Quest. The movie was sooooo funny! You
should really see it! Jed and I could not stop laughing!
Hehehehe.....
Anyway, I really wanted to kiss Jed, 'cuz he was really nice
and sweet, but I didn't have the courage to.... I mean,
maybe he just wanted to go see a movie with me as a
'friend', or maybe he thinks that kissing girls with braces
is just not right... In any case, I really wanted to but I
didn't, I guess we will just have to wait and see! Jed and I
are planning to go out this Sunday. I really hope it will
work out!
