The world around us is believed to be good,
But the people who think so just go with a hood.
Out on the street there are countless crimes,
Failures that occur just too many times.

One likes to think that he is this kind or another,
But the problem is, that seldom does he bother
To check if he is right or wrong at his thinking,
To verify that the truth is the same as his feeling.

We go on our lives with a mask on our face,
We act as if we are on a goddamn race,
We search endlessly for a taste of love,
And expect to receive some help from above.

There are those who truly don't care,
Those who destroy those moments rare,
They just search for that unique glimpse,
At true love, at a fabled romantic eclipse.

But how do I know if what I think is true?
Am I too, an anonymous member of that crew?
Will there be no end for the misery that I feel?
Is there some mercy, will I survive this ordeal?

All I want is some happiness, is that so much to ask?
All I ever dreamed of, lost because of a mask?
I want life full of joy, not to wait to the afterlife,
Why only in poems, can I really taste life?!
