When I look all around,
I cannot but sigh -
Beauty is so profound!
This beauty you cannot deny.

After all of the pain,
People tend to forget,
That not all is in vain,
There's moon after sunset.

O why there is sadness?
To grieve and feel woe.
One might say it is madness,
A world without glow.

But notice, there is human compassion,
At the end of the tunnel, there is light,
There are feelings such as love and passion,
Giving us a much needed respite.

For to truly know delight,
One must experience misery,
So when he emerges from the night,
He can fully appreciate its glory.

You never fully appreciate something,
Until it is taken away.
When from that remains nothing,
You suddenly feel as a castaway.

The problem with this experience
Is that it may be too late,
For there might not be a second chance.
Do not trust blindly in fate.

But as with belongings,
So it is with feelings sweet -  
To know that kind of feelings,
We must also know its opposite.

So a world full of beauty
Is a world full of lies.
But the most prized ability
Is to see beauty despite the demise.

Now that you're here,
And wiser I hope,
Please quell your fear,
And with this try to cope:

What I said before,
This is not a delusion.
Open up your heart's door,
Abandon your emotional seclusion.

Life can cause so much sorrow,
But it can create such happiness.
The greatest feat in living though,
Is not to be broken by the stress.
